I’m a New York–based video editor, producer, and documentary filmmaker with over a decade of experience shaping meaningful stories across feature films, television, branded content, and digital platforms. I specialize in emotionally driven, visually grounded work — whether crafting vérité narratives or delivering polished edits for fast-paced commercial environments.
As a filmmaker, I’m drawn to stories about identity, family, communication, and cultural complexity. My feature documentaries — THE ABILITY EXCHANGE and LOUD LOVE — have screened at festivals and universities around the world, exploring intimacy, disability, and queer parenthood through observational storytelling. As an editor and content creator, I’ve worked on a wide range of award-winning films and series, including PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF DESIRE (2018), ONE CHILD NATION (2019) and ALL IN MY FAMILY (2019) — projects that bridge global issues with personal voices. I collaborate closely with directors and producers to translate vision into emotional resonance, always with an eye for narrative clarity, pacing, and audience connection. Originally from China, I hold an M.A. in Cinema Studies and an advanced certificate in Culture and Media from NYU, and a journalism degree from Fudan University in Shanghai. Whether working solo or in a team, I bring empathy, discipline, and storytelling instincts to everything I cut — and I’m always looking for projects that speak across borders, genres, and expectations. |
